About

About the project

I Still Got A Song is an online creative project from Paul, also known as Positive Paul.

It is for people who find normal words hard, but still have something real inside them. The project uses songs, spoken word, creative work, lived experience, and hope to help people feel heard.

A letter from Paul

You matter. Your story counts. And it’s not too late.

Not everyone can say what they feel. Some people shut down. Some people go quiet. Some people get ignored. Some people were never really listened to in the first place.

I know what that can feel like.

Sometimes normal words are not enough. You try to explain, but it comes out wrong. People see the outside, but they do not always understand what you are carrying inside.

So I found another way.

Music became a way to speak when talking was too hard. A song can hold pain, memory, hope, truth, and the things we cannot always say in normal conversation. That is why I Still Got A Song exists.

I Still Got A Song is a space for people who feel unheard. A space where music, spoken word, silence, and pauses all count. A space where you do not have to be perfect, explain everything, or get every word right.

This project is for people carrying things that are hard to say. For people shaped by trauma, mental health, neurodivergence, lived experience, loneliness, grief, fear, or simply feeling overlooked. It is for anyone with something real inside them but no easy way to let it out.

I believe expression does not need to be polished to be powerful. I believe quiet voices still matter. I believe a rough song can still carry truth. I believe people are not broken — only unfinished.

I Still Got A Song was founded by me, Paul, known publicly as Positive Paul, with support from a small, supportive team. This project grew from lived experience: from care, systems, labels, struggle, and moments where it was easier for people to judge than to truly listen.

The graveyard is the richest place on earth. It is full of songs never sung, words never spoken, stories never shared, truth never heard, pain never released, and love never said.

Do not take your music there. If it is still inside you, it deserves to come out.

You do not need to be a musician. You do not need confidence. You do not need permission. You do not need to sound like anyone else. You just need honesty.

Make a song. Say something. Say nothing. Share it, or keep it private. There is no right way. Only your way.

I Still Got A Song shares story songs, spoken word, videos, creative work, lived experience, and hope. We post daily on TikTok, share longer song stories on Substack, and the best tracks are shared on Spotify, YouTube Music, and other streaming platforms.

This is not about fame. It is about reaching people, helping people feel less alone, giving someone another way to speak, and reminding them that their story still matters.

One song can reach a person in the dark. One story can make someone feel seen. One honest voice can help someone hold on.

You matter. Your story counts. And it’s not too late.

How to Make a Song

Start your song

Making a song does not have to be hard. You do not need musical skills, confidence, or experience.

You can start with whatever you have:

  • A few words
  • A feeling
  • A memory
  • A mood

You can write your own lyrics, type a short idea, or simply choose how you want the song to feel. The music is built around your meaning, at your pace.

There is no right or wrong way to do it.

Best to use a PC, laptop, or tablet when you want more control.
